Scholarship Program - 2008 Recipients




Raymore, MO - May 1, 2008 - The Raymore Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the recipients of their 2008 Business Student of the Year Scholarships. This year's recipients are Seniors Cameron Bravo, Kayla Easton, Travis Smoot, and Sarah Walton. Each of the recipients will receive a $1500 scholarship to apply towards tuition, fees, or room and board associated with pursuing their degree at any accredited college or university.

Cameron Bravo, 2008 Scholarship Recipient

Cameron Bravo

Cameron Bravo is the son of Roy and Shari Bravo of Raymore, Missouri. Cameron plans to obtain undergraduate degrees in physics and mathematics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, next obtain his Master's Degree, and then obtain his Doctorate Degree from Princeton University to pursue a career as a Physicist.

 Kayla Easton, 2008 Scholarship Recipient

Kayla Easton

Kayla Easton is the daughter of Robert and Lori Jo Easton of Peculiar, Missouri. Kayla plans to attend Missouri State University this fall to double major in Dietetics and Chemistry and minor in Business, while participating in undergraduate research. She has been accepted to the Honors Program.

Travis Smoot, 2008 Scholarship Recipient

Travis Smoot

Travis Smoot is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Smoot and Sherry Baugh of Lee's Summit, Missouri. Travis plans to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia this fall majoring in Biochemistry, attend medical school, and become a surgeon.

Sarah Walton

Sarah Walton is the daughter of Sam and Deb Walton of Peculiar, Missouri. Sarah plans to attend Truman State University this fall majoring in business or accounting.
